At SLAF, we offer two different Swim Technique Plans for Coaches. One is focused on the 4-Month Summer Season and the other is focused on the 8-Month Fall/Winter Season.

When I was a younger coach, I would dream of having a season plan template. I kept reading all the books on swim coaching and attending different clinics and conferences, that spoke of a coach’s season plan as their secret sauce to success. Overwhelmed with learning, how much to train this or that, plus – hitting all the drills needed to properly progress our swimmers – gave me a headache just thinking about it. We hope to minimize or avoid you having any headaches with our Swim Technique Season Plans.

We all know perfecting swimming technique in each of the four strokes is extremely important in order to grow and become a better athlete. Understanding and learning the basics will ensure that your athletes also avoid any additionally injuries they may face during their time in the sport. As a coach, your goal is to make sure your swimmers have a foundational understanding and feel for the ideal swim technique. We’ve worked hard to plan and outline drills and focus points to help you, help your athletes.
