what is VIRTUAL TRAINING?

Virtual training is an internet-based, remote coaching solution designed for both individuals and groups. Our virtual training sessions encompass dryland exercises, mobility routines, and strength & conditioning workouts. Each session is tailored to the unique needs and objectives of you or your group. Our standard class duration is 60 minutes, but we can always customize the schedule to align with your age group and training plan.

Rest assured, all our classes are conducted via Zoom and recorded, ensuring that missing a session won’t hinder progress. Trust us to handle the programming, coaching, and seasonal progression – we’ve got you covered from start to finish!

how virtual training works

STEP 1

Select Your Plan and Place Your Order. Choose between personalized solo training or gather a small group of fellow athletes to join you in your workouts

STEP 2

Get Started with an Introductory Phone Call with Your New SLAF Coach. This call includes an initial assessment where we review your equipment, training location, and any other pertinent training details.

STEP 3

Establish Your Session Calendar and Commence Your Training! It’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work!

Individual Virtual Training Package Includes:

  • Initial 30-minute Phone Consultation & Basic Mobility Assessment.
  • 60-Minute Training Sessions, all from the comfort of your home or gym, utilizing your existing equipment. On occasion, we may recommend additional equipment to diversify your training, but it’s not mandatory.
  • Flexible scheduling based on your availability and your coach’s, taking into account your current training routine, goals, and competition schedule.
  • Recommended at-home equipment: Dumbbell Sets (variety is beneficial), a Yoga Mat, Stretch Cords, and a Chair.
  • Enhance strength, mobility, and injury prevention through tailored exercises.
  • Save 15% by purchasing sessions in bulk (e.g., 6 sessions)!

  2. Mobility & Activation Exercises
  3. Swim-Specific Bodyweight Drills
  4. Swim-Specific Dumbbell or Free Weight Exercises
  5. Periodic Test (and Re-Test) Sessions
  6. Emphasis on Injury Prevention & Load Monitoring
  7. Swim Meet Preparation

$85/hr *Per Session

Group Virtual Training Package Includes:

  • Initial 30-Minute Phone Consultation & Basic Mobility Assessment.
  • 60-Minute Training Sessions, conducted in the comfort of your home, gym, pool, or community space, utilizing your existing equipment. On occasion, we may recommend additional equipment to diversify your training, but it’s not obligatory.
  • Flexible scheduling tailored to your group’s availability and your coach’s, factoring in your current training routine, goals, and competition schedule.
  • Suggested equipment includes: Dumbbell Sets (the more, the merrier), a Yoga Mat, Stretch Cords, and a Chair.
  • Accommodates up to 10 swimmers per training session.
  • Enhance strength, mobility, and injury prevention through customized exercises.
  • Enjoy a 15% discount when you purchase 6 sessions in advance!

Our coaching team boasts a collective experience of over 20 years in training athletes, encompassing various sports, not limited to swimming. Head Coach, Abbie Fish, holds a Masters in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Georgia, along with a C.S.C.S and personal training certification.

Remaining current with the latest training trends and comprehending the unique requirements of competitive swimming is what distinguishes us from other dryland training providers and coaches.

Having several Olympic Trial Qualifiers and retired National Team athletes as part of our team, we possess a deep understanding of the journey to the elite level.
