1.) CAMP OVERVIEW:

  • Date: June 23rd-26th, 2026
  • Age Group: 10+years old
  • Gender: Coed
  • Camp Type: Day
  • Check-in: ALL Campers: Check-in Daily, between 10:40-10:55AM at the Mary T Meagher Aquatic Center. Campers should arrive in their dryland clothes with suits on underneath, ready to swim by 11:00AM!
  • Check-out:  A group wrap-up will mark the end of the session each day. Campers will be picked up from the pool at 12:15PM EST.
  • Day Schedule: Each day will follow IM order, focusing on one stroke at a time. We’ll start with a 15-minute intro and warm-up, followed by 1 hour of focused technique work on the stroke of the day. Day 1: Butterfly, Day 2: Backstroke, Day 3: Breaststroke, Day 4: Freestyle. Each session is designed to refine fundamentals, reinforce efficient mechanics, and build a stronger technical foundation across all four strokes.

CAMP DETAILS:

1.) Technique Focus
Get ready to refine all four strokes through a structured IM progression across the 4 days. Each session will focus on one stroke—Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle—breaking down key fundamentals like bodyline, timing, kick tempo, and stroke mechanics. The goal is to reset and rebuild efficient movement patterns that translate to better performance across all events.

2.) Video Analysis (Done at Camp)
Athletes will be filmed and coached in real time, with immediate feedback and adjustments on deck. If parents would like a copy of their swimmer’s video, just let us know before camp starts so we can save it for you.

3.) Custom Drills & Skill Work
Swimmers will work through SLAF’s stroke-specific drill progressions tailored to their level. Each day’s drills are designed to reinforce proper technique, improve efficiency, and build a stronger foundation in that stroke.

4.) Dryland Warm-Up
Each day begins with a dynamic warm-up focused on activation, mobility, and body awareness—preparing athletes to move better and get more out of their time in the water.

5.) Stroke-Specific Skill Development
Each session will emphasize key skills within that stroke—like timing, rhythm, and connection—helping swimmers understand not just what to do, but how and why it works.

6.) Technique Application
Swimmers will apply what they’ve learned through controlled swimming and skill-based challenges, reinforcing proper mechanics in a way that carries over into training and racing.

7.) Q&A with Coaches
Get direct access to Head Coach Abbie Fish for questions on technique, training, race strategy, and long-term development across all four strokes.
