This September, Swim Like A. Fish is hosting its first-ever 2-day camp at Blairwood Genesis Health Clubs in Louisville, KY. This camp is open to swimmers ages 10 and up!
1.) CAMP OVERVIEW:
- Dates: September 5-6th, 2026
- Age Group: 10+years old
- Gender: Coed
- Camp Type: Day
- Check-in: ALL Campers: Check-in Daily, between 12:00-12:30PM at Blairwood Genesis Health Clubs in Louisville, KY.
- Check-out: A group wrap-up will mark the end of the session each day. Campers will be picked up from the pool at 3:00PM EST.
- Day Schedule: Start with a 15-minute introduction and 15-minute warm-up, followed by 2 hours of focused instruction and on-deck filming across all four strokes.
- Program:
Kick off the new season with Swim Like A. Fish’s first-ever 2-day camp, designed to build a strong technical foundation across all four strokes. This high-performance camp focuses on proper mechanics, efficient movement patterns, and the fundamentals needed for long-term success.
Day 1 will focus on long axis strokes (Freestyle & Backstroke), while Day 2 will focus on short axis strokes (Breaststroke & Butterfly). Swimmers will receive personalized instruction in each stroke, along with above and below water filming and in-person video analysis from Coach Abbie to highlight progress and pinpoint key adjustments.
Please bring all training equipment to get the most out of each session. Start your season with the confidence, skills, and stroke precision to train smarter and race faster.

3.) SUPERVISION:
The coaching staff will participate in the day camp activities only. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

4.) INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY:
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are sorted by age, ability, and experience upon registration
- Equipment Needed: Please bring your water bottle, swimsuit, swim cap, googles, towel(s), sandals/flip flops, snorkel + fins (optional), and dryland gear (running shoes, t-shirt, athletic shorts, sweatshirt).
- Facility: Blairwood Genesis Health Clubs
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have a lifeguard on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
5.) PREPARE FOR CAMP: COMPLETE YOUR PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST
Make sure to complete the signed waiver, photo release, and camper registration forms. To view your account, receipts, and proof of purchase – you will login to your newly created account on www.swimlikeafish.org that you made during the checkout process.
If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated! All necessary camp information is on this page.
6.) TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
7.) SLAF POLICIES:
All camps are non-refundable unless you email a cancellation request to [email protected] no later than 24 hours prior to the camp start time. A written and signed excuse from a doctor is required.
