Ep. 6: Video Analysis of Your Swimmers is VERY Important!

Woo! Welcome to Episode 6 of the Social Isolation Podcast, where we feature an EXCLUSIVE interview with Olympic Coach, Michael Bohl. Michael has been coaching for over 30 years, and has multiple Olympic medals to his name.

Michael was/is one of the most welcoming coaches I’ve ever come across. He let me sit in on a few practices with him and his new program at Griffith University. For the longest time, Michael was in charge of St. Peter’s Western Swimming Club.

Some of the highlights of this interview include: how Michael incorporates the use of sport scientists and biomechanists he has at his disposal, along with how he feels he worked swimmers too hard, too often as a younger coach. Plus, his thoughts on consistent video analysis of his swimmers strokes!

I love that Michael vocalizes the importance of seeing your swimmers strokes underwater. At Swim Like A. Fish, we understand that’s so important and that is part of the reason we offer 4 different video analysis packages that can be done anywhere in the world. To learn more, click here.
