Abbie continues to further her knowledge on stroke mechanics by studying, researching, and staying on top of the newest trends on technique. Abbie has worked with clients as young as young as 5 and up to 90 years old. She believes that anyone with the heart to train CAN and WILL benefit from technical advice!
Kimberly joined Swim Like A. Fish in August 2019 after she graduated from Ohio University with her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. As a life-long competitive swimmer, Kimberly started swimming at the same club team as Coach Abbie at 6 years old.
Eventually, Kim accepted a scholarship to swim at Ohio University. During her 13-year competitive swimming career, her accomplishments include: winning the high school state championship during her freshman year (2015), competing at the MAC championship (2016), and setting many state records and competing at Junior Nationals during her time on the Lakeside Seahawks.
Kimberly’s passion for nutrition began when she entered recovery from anorexia and depression in 2013. She has many years of experience working with those struggling with eating disorders, in addition to her educational background at Ohio University. She also appeared on the Katie Couric show (2012) to discuss her lifelong struggles with her eating disorder and help inspire those struggling to know that they are not alone and can begin the road to recovery with the right help. Now, Kimberly is looking to bridge the gap between by offering her services to swimmers just like her, or anybody looking to improve their relationship with their diet, mental health, and sport’s training!
